Job Description
DeepScholar is seeking a motivated Software Engineer Intern to join our backend development team. This internship is an incredible opportunity for a budding engineer to contribute to a meaningful project, gain hands-on experience in backend development and AI related development. The ideal candidate is passionate about technology, eager to learn, and ready to tackle challenges in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Develop and Maintain: Contribute to the development and maintenance of DeepScholar's backend systems, ensuring robustness, scalability, and security.
Collaborate on API Design: Work closely with the frontend team to design and implement APIs that support seamless data exchange and functionality.
Project Contribution: Be an active team member in agile development cycles, contributing to sprint planning, stand-ups, and reviews.
Requirements
Minimum qualifications:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, etc.).
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with data structures, algorithms, and software design.
Experience in computer science.
Knowledge of Mac OS and shell commands.
Knowledge of OpenAI SDK (Python).
Familiarity with Flask framework and Restful API development.
Duration and Location
This is a summer internship position lasting approximately 12 weeks.
The position is based at DeepScholar's headquarters in Seattle, with options for remote work depending on circumstances.
